Sean Yom is an associate professor of political science at Temple University and senior fellow in the Middle East Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. He is a specialist on authoritarian institutions, economic development, and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, with area expertise in Morocco, Jordan, and the Gulf kingdoms. His publications include "From Resilience to Revolution: How Foreign Interventions Destabilize the Middle East" (Columbia University Press, 2016), several edited volumes, and articles in academic journals like Journal of Democracy, Comparative Political Studies, European Journal of International Relations, and Global Policy Journal.
