Following the mass arrests at Washington University's divestment encampment, she has volunteered with St. Louis' local jail support to provide legal support to arrested protesters facing charges.
She is 1 of 10 recipients of the 1843 scholarship, a 3-year full-tuition merit scholarship at SLU law. Ale is passionate about human rights and social justice in the Arab world and beyond.
